carlos & jamie Geneva, Switzerland

I am so excited to introduce my newest in love couple, Carlos and Jamie.  They were recently relocated for work to live in Geneva, Switzerland.  We thought it would be perfect opportunity to shoot their engagement photos in their new location as now they can share where they live with everyone they love.  They also get the added bonus of having great images of their first home and city together.  

I traveled there at the end of May and was so blown away by how beautiful and unique the location was for pictures.  Basically twenty steps from where Carlos and Jamie live there is a massive park that takes you right to the lake.  The colors and the trees where straight from a movie set.  When we got to the lake I became obsessed with the funky weird trees that lined the walking path and of course the fountain. 

This opportunity also gave me a chance to get to really know Carlos and Jamie and as well for them to get to know me and how I shoot.  This way on the wedding day they can be completely comfortable and know exactly what to expect.
Thank you Carlos and Jamie for the amazing time and being so willing to show us your city and home.  I'm so glad we were able to see some new sites together.  See you in Minneapolis for the big day soon!  Cheers to you both,  Em and Lisa

pete, kate, & skye London, England

Here are my dear friends Pate and Kate and their lovely daughter Skye.  On my way to Switzerland for an engagement shoot I had the chance to stop over in London to see my good friends once again.  The last time I was in London I was shooting Pete and Kate's wedding.  Now they have a lovely almost one year old Miss Skye.  I had an amazing time getting to know Skye as I was able to be her American Nanny for 24 hours with her Auntie Lisa.  Her giggles and cuddles are energizing and totally made my trip.

Before heading to Switzerland we had a little family session out in the woods by their house.  It was such a peaceful and lovely setting.  Who would of thought you could find this so close to London?  It was so good to see you all and getting to know lovely Skye.  I'm so blessed to have such good friends you in.  All my love, Ems

mr. katz

Mr. Lias Katz totally stole my heart on my last trip to Chicago.  Not only is he a huge   flirt, but he is super cute too!  The child of our dear friends, he is so funny and oddly very into technology!  During the shoot I had to continue to let him look at the camera and all the buttons so he wouldn't cry.  A little odd considering he is only 1, but we went with it and it worked!

brooke, maternity

I am so excited to introduce my newest Mom to be, Brooke.  Brooke and Dan were clients of mine, which seems ages ago, and now they are expecting.  What a delight to take pictures for them again during such an amazing time.  Brooke is really "glowing" with delight here.  (The sun flare helped a bit, but really she is beautiful.)  Thank you for including me on this special time.  What a treat.  Brooke, I am so pumped for you I can hardly stand it.  You are going to be an amazing mom.  All my love, Em
