Cheers to my newest in love and married couple Eric & Kim. What a great time we had Saturday capturing their big day. Here are a few of my favorites below, with the rest to follow in a slide show posted soon.



This picture is Kim opening her wedding day gift from Eric. Huge props to Eric. What an amazingly thoughtful gift he made for her. It was a fancy little box that had a ton of little envelopes with little love notes inside for Kim to read when he is away from her and she is lonely. What a great idea. Good work Eric. Every girl in the room had a tear in her eye when Kim opened her gift.

Love is a temporary madness,
it erupts like a volcanoes and then subsides,
and when it subsides you have to make a decision.
You have to work out whether your roots have so entwined together,
that it is inconceivable that you should ever part.
Because this is what love is.
Love is not breathlessness,
it is not excitement,
it is not the promulgation of eternal passion.
That is just being "in love," which any fool can do.
Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away,
and this is both an art and a fortunate accident.
Those that truly love have roots that grow toward each other underground,
and when all the pretty blossoms have fallen from their branches,
they find that they are one tree, and not two.

Eric and Kim added this to their ceremony, which I thought was spot on! I think this is so true and am grateful that I can use it as a reminder of how to continue through my own relationship!

Mathias Zachary was born on Thursday, May 8. Welcome to the world little man. You are so tiny, just bigger than a NFL size football. It was lovely meeting you. I can't wait to see you and your sister next time. I'm sure you will be throwing the football by then! Happy happy day, Em

My Favorite brothers joined me again for a spring shoot last weekend. WOW, you two have grown. Talking a mile a minute and moving all over the place, you two are such a hoot. Thank you for joining me at the park, I had a great time. Say "CHHEEEEESSSE!"

Here is the imagine mosaic that I have seen for years in pictures and always wanted to see in person. Strawberry Fields at West Side between 71st and 74th Streets was dedicated in 1981 in honor of John Lennon (1940-1980), a musician who belonged to the famous Beatles.





Cheers to some of the greatest friends a girl could have in the world! My dear friends Jon and Lauren co-sponsored my most recent trip to New York City. Above are some of my "quick" grabs from my walks throughout the city. Below are my amazing friends. Thank you to both of them for encouraging me to come out and spend some much needed Lo and Pollock time. The city, shopping, cafe coffees, and food were amazing, but they don't even come close to how awesome your friendship is and how thankful I am that I have such good friends in each of you!





And here is Amanda, my first friend ever! We met in Kindergarten, and have stayed friends ever since. Amanda, thank you for driving into the city to have dinner. As always it was great to see you (for we always catch up right where we left off) but it's always way to short. You are one in a Million. Love you!



Here is one of my favorite fountains. It's home is at the Detroit airport which is weird, but a great time out while waiting for your next flight. I always make a stop to chill and watch the playful water jump around.



In fact, the Detroit airport is a pretty funny place. I always have to connect there through this tunnel, and you would never believe you are in an airport when passing through here. The lights are super funky and the music well is soothing and trippie all at the same time. It is pretty funny scene at 8 am before a coffee. The first time I went though it I giggled the whole way, for it was like I was in a movie.
There was a worker this trip who was snapping his fingers and dancing while he walked through. It is a scene that you must check out on your next lay over in D town!

Mr. Eli was my smile project last week. It took him a while to get comfy, but with a little patience I captured some of his great smiles. No worries Shannon, we got him! Thanks for the fun afternoon in the sun!

luke time

Crazy Luke! Good to see you dude. Boy, do you know how to have a fun bath. It was so good to see you and your parents last week. You are growing so big, I can hardly believe it's you in that big body! It seems like yesterday you were that wrinkly new born. How time flies!

happy turkey day!!!

Congrats to my Dad on shooting a turkey this week! Out of the love of my two favorite men I joined my husband and Dad on a turkey hunt this last week. I know ladies, it sounds crazy ... but joining them in what they love to do was fun. It took loads of patience, but we saw lots of turkeys, deer, and had some great laughs.

happy anniversary!

Happy 2nd Anniversary to my awesome husband Will. I can't believe that time has flown this fast. It's seems like yesterday we were the one's doing all the wedding planning and getting ready for our big day. Thank you for choosing me on Apirl 8th and all the rest of our days since.
